Location and Directions

Arisaig House Cottages are ideally situated for touring the Highlands and Islands. The fishing port of Mallaig 10 miles distant, by way of Morar famous for it’s white sand beaches, provides the gateway to Skye and the Outer Hebrides. From Arisaig itself, boats may be taken daily to the attractive Small Isles of Eigg, Muck and Rum. The Cottages are 32 miles from the town of Fort William. For those who wish to travel by rail from the south, there is a good service from London (Euston) via Glasgow and Fort William on the West Highland line, including a nightly sleeper service (excluding Saturdays). Beasdale, the local train station, just one mile away, was built for Arisaig House and is a request stop! Subject to prior arrangement, this is where guests arriving by rail are met.

The map below shows the road A830 from Fort William, in the bottom right  hand corner, to Mallaig in the center.

Turn left into main driveway off the A830 from Fort William at the white sign of "Arisaig House Cottages" 1.2 mls from Beasdale rail station on the left and 80 yards from telephone box on the right, the reception is located at the bottom of the drive at Arisaig House itself.
